1 jigger G&W Distilled London Dry Gin
1 jigger Claret
1 teaspoon Powdered Sugar

Tommy Armour makes a long one at the 19th hole

G&W BEATS GIN BOGEY!
Tommy Armour may be champion on the fairway, but any duffer can match his 19th hole triumphs! For G&W has banished the bogey of “up-and-down” gin flavor. No longer need you juggle the proportions specified in your recipe to balance variations in your gin!
G&W London Dry Gin is distilled from grain, according to a famous old English formula. But a modern scientific secret enables G&W to control its delicate flavor through every step of the distilling process. Imported juniper berries, sweet orange peel, coriander seed and other essential ingredients are perfectly blended to produce the soft, smooth taste that’s just right till of the time, instead of only once in a while.
Try Tommy Armour’s recipe for “The Birdie”—and steer clear of the rough by making all your gin drinks with G&W London Dry!

G&W CRYSTAL PALACE DISTILLED DRY GIN. Another G&W “controlled flavor” gin—and a great value for party-givers. Distilled from grain. 85 proof.

About The Blog

The latter group are often referred to as “mixologists,” a term given to practitioners of “mixology,” which is really just another way of referring to the practice of making good cocktails. Mixology might seem like a newfangled term, but it’s actually pretty old, like mid-19th century old, and was only revived as a way to describe the recent renaissance of bartenders caring (a lot) about their craft.
