Make mine with Bacardi

OF COURSE, you know the Bacardi Cocktail — that best of all ways to fill the pause before dinner. But do you know how versatile Bacardi is? Enjoy the one-and-only flavor of Bacardi Rum straight — or in a high-ball, sour, old-fashioned … its liqueur quality adds new distinction!

Bacardi is like no other rum in the world. The secret of its formula has been guarded for 75 years by the Bacardi family of Cuba — no plagiarist has ever been able 10 copy it. You’ll taste something special when you say, “Make Mine with Bacardi!”

Try Bacardi’s Versatility in These

Bacardi Sour. Juice of half a lemon, half a teaspoonful of sugar, a jigger of Bacardi Gold Label. Shake well with ice and serve in short, narrow tumbler with half a slice of orange.

Bacardi Old-Fashioned. Crush a lump of sugar with two dashes of bitters and two teaspoonfuls of plain water. And a jigger of Bacardi Gold Label. Serve with fruit in old-fashioned glass.

You’ll enjoy each of the 37 recipes in Bacardi’s new recipe booklet. Free on request to Schenley Import Corp., Empire State Building, N. Y. C.

About The Blog

The latter group are often referred to as “mixologists,” a term given to practitioners of “mixology,” which is really just another way of referring to the practice of making good cocktails. Mixology might seem like a newfangled term, but it’s actually pretty old, like mid-19th century old, and was only revived as a way to describe the recent renaissance of bartenders caring (a lot) about their craft.
