Bacardi dark rum and ice.

Mmmmm, so smooth and mellow-tasting. Cheers!

Bacardi eggnog. Traditional greetings.

Just stir I2oz. of Bacardi dark rum into 1 qt. prepared eggnog. Fold in 1 cup whipped heavy cream. Chill. Dust with nutmeg. 12 servings.

Bacardi and cola. Frosty.

Splash a jigger of Bacardi dark rum over lots of ice in tall glass. Fill with chilled cola.

Ahhh, Bacardi strawberry daiquiri.

Blend 5 large berries, 1 tbs. lime juice, 1 tbs.

sugar, 1½ z Bacardi light rum, ½ cup crushed ice.

Gold Reserve rum. Exceptionally rich.

And luxuriously smooth too in a snifter or aver ice.

Bacardi pina colada.

Blend 2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice, 1 oz. cream of coconut (or prepared mix), 1½ oz. Bacardi light nun with crushed ice.

Bacardi and juice.

Splash a jigger of Bacardi light rum over ice in tall glass. Top with chilled orange, grapefruit or pineapple juice. Stir, enjoy.

The latter group are often referred to as “mixologists,” a term given to practitioners of “mixology,” which is really just another way of referring to the practice of making good cocktails. Mixology might seem like a newfangled term, but it’s actually pretty old, like mid-19th century old, and was only revived as a way to describe the recent renaissance of bartenders caring (a lot) about their craft.
