23 Beer-Based Cocktails for Chips and Dip Day:

  1. Michelada – beer, lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and salt
  2. Shandy – beer and lemonade or ginger ale
  3. Black Velvet – beer and champagne or stout and sparkling wine
  4. Snakebite – beer and hard cider
  5. Beergarita – beer and margarita mix
  6. Red Eye – beer and tomato juice
  7. Dirty Hoe – beer, gin, and lime juice
  8. Brass Monkey – beer and orange juice
  9. Beer Bloody Mary – beer, tomato juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and spices
  10. Stout Float – stout and vanilla ice cream
  11. Cerveza Preparada – beer with lime juice, salt, hot sauce, and tomato juice

About The Blog

The latter group are often referred to as “mixologists,” a term given to practitioners of “mixology,” which is really just another way of referring to the practice of making good cocktails. Mixology might seem like a newfangled term, but it’s actually pretty old, like mid-19th century old, and was only revived as a way to describe the recent renaissance of bartenders caring (a lot) about their craft.
