10 Cocktails for World Amateur Radio Day
Holidays and Observances
World Amateur Radio Day is an annual event celebrated on April 18th to mark the anniversary of the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in 1925. The purpose of this day is to promote the use of amateur radio and to showcase its role in communication and emergency services. It is an opportunity for amateur radio operators to come together and share their experiences, knowledge, and skills. Each year, the IARU chooses a theme for World Amateur Radio Day to highlight a particular aspect of the hobby. The day is celebrated with various events, including contests, special transmissions, and public demonstrations of amateur radio equipment and operations.

About The Blog

The latter group are often referred to as “mixologists,” a term given to practitioners of “mixology,” which is really just another way of referring to the practice of making good cocktails. Mixology might seem like a newfangled term, but it’s actually pretty old, like mid-19th century old, and was only revived as a way to describe the recent renaissance of bartenders caring (a lot) about their craft.
